Department of Mechanical Engineering Website

Established in 1960, the department of Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest department of the Institute. In these years, the department has contributed significantly in UG / PG teaching, R&D activities & services to the industries.

The department offers UG programme B. Tech (mech) with intake of 81 & a full time PG programme M. Tech Industrial Engineering, Heat Power Engineering and CAD CAM with intake of 35. The alumni of this department occupy high positions in their respective fields in India/Abroad.

The Faculty of the department are often considered as one among the best in their field. The Faculty is renowned for its unique approach to innovation, and links with industry.
